Karen Parry is employed as UK Upstream Health Manager for Shell. With a background in Industrial Hygiene spanning more than 30 years, Karen first worked for a number of consultancies in the UK before joining Shell at the start of 2003. She has since completed postings in Nigeria, Qatar, Dubai and Iraq before returning to being based full-time in the UK in 2019. Initially working as the Upstream Industrial Hygienist, her role later included COVID Manager during the pandemic years and occupational health management support. On 1st May 2022 Karen moved into her current role which also involved a relocation to Aberdeen, looking after onshore and offshore facilities across Northern, Central and Southern North Sea. Karen completed an MSc in Occupational Hygiene from Newcastle University (UK) in 1991 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (BOHS, UK).
