Steve Wright
Steve Wright worked for 37 years in oil and gas before switching careers to focus on marine habitat restoration after collecting plastic from a beach in South Africa and recognising that our oceans are in trouble and he should do more to try and help. He is a life long scuba diver, chartered engineer and company director with ARC Marine, an eco-engineering company based in Torquay and Truro. ARC Marine design and manufacture carbon neutral structures made from recycled materials that protect subsea assets and coastlines whilst accelerating reef creation to increase marine biodiversity and species abundance. In 2022, ARC Marine won the SPE Offshore Achievement Award for Emerging Technology and the RWE Ecology Award.
